Youth Committee
The AFL Youth Caucus was established in 2001 to act as a forum for addressing the concerns of young workers - both organized and unorganized. At the 2005 AFL Convention, delegates approved transforming the Caucus into a full Standing Committee of the AFL. The Committee's mandate is to encourage active involvement of young persons in union activities and other activities affecting them, to promote and organize educational programs concerning young persons in the workplace, home, and community, and to foster working class culture amongst young persons, along with other activities.
