New research shows just how bad the fast-track was, and why it shouldn’t be brought back 

An investigation into the scandal-ridden fast-track for Temporary Foreign Worker employers shows that approved applications often fail to meet official guidelines. Alberta Federation of Labour president Gil McGowan will be making a presentation about the Temporary Foreign Worker program on Friday, Oct. 25 from 9:00 a.m. – 9:20 a.m. at a conference on “Transforming Citizenship: Ethnicity, Transnationalism & Belonging in Canada.” Media are welcome to attend. McGowan will be available to the media after his talk.
